  Purpose

  The purpose of this RFA is to provide guidance for current contractors to submit continuation applications to the Iowa Health and Human Services (referred to as Agency) to renew service provisions as described by and within the project period established by the RFP #58822005. Services covered by this application include providing Child Protection Center services within their designated DHS region of statewide coverage. Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) is synonymous with Child Protection Center (CPC). This program promotes health equity through trauma-informed forensic interviewing and increased access to quality medical care for children ages 12 and below who experience child abuse and maltreatment including but not limited to; neglect, physical abuse, child sexual abuse, incest, and rape. Priority populations include children from communities experiencing health disparities in Iowa.
