Nov 26, 2024 2:59 PM | 1. Who is referral source? 2. How long will it take from the time youth becomes involved with referral source until referral is obtained by contracting agency? | 1. The referral source will be dependent upon the program/service being proposed by the applicant. See Section 2.01 “Goals and Objectives of the program”. Pre-charge and alternative community-based program types could have a number of referral sources (e.g. law enforcement, schools, families, etc.). In the program type for juveniles informally involved with Juvenile Court Services, JCS would be the referral source. 2. There is not a pre-determined time for a referral to be made. Referral arrangements are negotiated by funded applicants and the relevant referral source based on the program type. |
Dec 9, 2024 3:51 PM | 1. How do the proposed programs align with current juvenile justice policies and priorities in the community? 2. What strategies are being implemented to measure the effectiveness of these programs? 3. What criteria determine eligibility for community-based alternatives to incarceration? 4. How are programs addressing the unique challenges faced by families with limited English-speaking abilities? 5. How are mental health and co-occurring disorder services being integrated into existing juvenile justice systems? 6. What support is provided for juveniles with disabilities within the justice system? 7. What data is being used to identify gaps and opportunities in juvenile justice services? 8. How do different local systems (schools, law enforcement, healthcare, etc.) collaborate to meet the needs of youth? | Questions 1-6 appear to be about the program areas listed in section 2.03 of a separate funding opportunity (“Juvenile Services Title II”) and do not apply to this funding opportunity (“Juvenile Diversion”).7. Applicants choose which data they will use to identify gaps and opportunities related to juvenile justice services. There is no required data source associated with this RFP.8. There is not a required model for collaboration associated with this RFP. |
Dec 23, 2024 12:19 PM | For the Background/Demonstrated Experience Section of the application, does this refer to the unit of government, the organization providing the services, or both? | The questions must be answered relevant to the applicant, however, if a subcontractor is also being used and is known at the time of application, it would be appropriate to incorporate answers related to the subcontractor as well. |
