    Purpose

     

    The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) # 58825022 is to solicit applications that will enable the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (referred to as Agency) to select qualified applicants (teaching hospitals) into the Family Medicine Obstetrics Fellowship Program to increase access to family medicine obstetrics practitioners in rural and underserved areas of the state. Once an applicant (teaching hospital) is accepted into the program, through this RFP process, the teaching hospital can submit claims for reimbursement of eligible expenses.

Oct 1, 2024 2:37 PMCan you please confirm the five year contract with an awardee is for $140,000 per year per OB fellow for each of the 5 years?No, per RFP section1.05 Available Funds, teaching hospitals (Contractors) will be reimbursed for expenses for participating fellows. These expenses may include a salary and benefits, including a stipend as determined by the participating teaching hospital. Reimbursement will be no greater than the lesser of the amount of funds expended by the contractor on each fellow, or $140,000 per fellow. Per RFP section 2.04 Contractor Budget and Contract Payment Methodology, Section A Contractor Payment, as stated in Section 1.05 of this RFP, teaching hospitals (contractors) will be reimbursed for expenses for participating fellows. At the time when a participating fellow completes the one-year fellowship at the teaching hospital and proof of a five-year program agreement is provided to the agency, the contractor may submit a claim for reimbursement of funds expended on the participating fellow with a cap of $140,000 dollars per fellow.

Will you please confirm the actual due application due date?This item is addressed in amendment #1 of this RFP. The actual application due date is Tuesday, October 29 by 4:00 PM local Iowa time.

Items to be assessed include the attestation form, background and demonstrated experience, and personnel.
